The Intermediary Agency for Operational Programmes of Competitiveness & Entrepreneurship (EFEPAE) aims to provide each Contracting Authority with high quality support management services of each Operational Programme.
Within the framework of the 2007-2013 Programming Period, the agency managed State Aid Actions with an estimated total budget of approximately €3 billion, related to the establishment of new enterprises or modernisation and improvement of competitiveness, or an increase in the extroversion of enterprises, mainly SMEs, in the following areas:
- Processing
- Trade
- Services
- Tourism
- Training
In the context of the 2014-2020 Programming Period, the EFEPAE performs specific tasks of managing State aid projects of the EPAnEK, under the supervision and responsibility of the EYD EPAnEK and on the basis of State aid notices to be issued on the basis of Article 47 of Law 4314/2014 and in accordance with the decisions to delegate to it, the responsibilities of the Managing Authority. The objective is the effective, sound and transparent management of State aid projects under the Operational Programme “Competitiveness Entrepreneurship and Innovation”, carried out by enterprises, in particular SMEs, through a centrally managed nationwide structure.
